Night Ride - Mon. Oct 7th

Post  Michele S on Mon Sep 30, 2013 1:36 pm

What a great way to keep up your fitness level over the fall/winter, keep riding! Strap on the lights and come out for a night ride. October is the time of change, we'll start in the light and end in the dark. Lights are required.

Hartland Parking Lot, ready to ride at 6:00 p.m.

Advanced riding skills are not required, but comfort on your bike is.
With respect to lights, one commuting light won't do, but two would be sufficient if one is on your bike and one is on your helmet. Contact michelesteele01 at hotmail dot com if you'd like more details about lighting, or about the ride in general.

Route determined based on the level of the riders who attend. We talk in the parking lot, plan a route. . . then often change it while we're on the trail. But it's all good, we're riding! For the first couple of rides we will definitely stay on the lower trails so we can get accustomed to riding at night again.

Weather caveat - the ride will be cancelled if there is an official weather warning posted on www.theweathernetwork.com for our area. Wind warnings will cause the ride to be cancelled. Otherwise, we'll be riding. If you need to confirm ride status after that, please contact me at the e-mail address indicated above.

Looking forward to seeing you on the trail!
Michele.
